I desperately needed a break from coding. went outside to get some real air and spent 15 minutes watching the pond behind AFTRS.
Saw an interesting interaction between birds. A large black bird circled down from overhead. The galahs feeding on the lawn scattered, alarmed, for the nearest trees. Two plovers started yelling wings raised angrily. The bird came down in tighter circles finally landing on a rock on the pond, it was a cormorant, not a predator.
After a few minutes things quietened down the gallahs returned to the grass and the cormorant went swimming.
